Singapore Civil Defence Force(SCDF) Chief Peter Lim and
Central Narcotics Bureau(CNB) Director Ng Boon Gay are being investigated currently by
Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau(CPIB). Sources quoted that the investigation could involve
'money and women'.
Tourists have the
mental disillusion that Singapore is all safe and good, think again. While we do have a relatively safe haven, it does not discount the fact that crime do happen in Singapore. Rising cost of living, opening of the casinos, there is a substantial rise in social problems, driving people to commit crimes like loansharking, robbery, pickpocket and so on.
